The changing times have profoundly influenced how the millennials and Generation Z think, act and behave. Upskilling by dint of spending the capital earned on one’s own is a cardinal feature of these sets of youngsters and this is their New Normal. Millennials and Gen Z assign priority to self-funded education rather than acquiring parents sponsored education. It seems that a new world order is emerging. The initiatives of the apex bodies like AICTE and UGC in terms of fellowships and financial assistance have played a pivotal role in pushing the witnessed changes.
To harness the spirit and in consonance to the policies of the apex bodies, Ganpat University has charted a novel move to motivate the millennial and Gen Z by offering an opportunity to ‘Earn while you Learn”. This initiative aims at encouraging them to follow their passion of acquiring futuristic skills and sharpening the research skills by pursuing Master of Technology education vide Do-It-Yourself (DIY) approach. Under this initiative, a young graduate is offered education alogside working as Teaching, Research or Project Assistant and acquire skills through Assistantship (On Job Training) with stipend to support their education!

Obligation of spending from the hard earned money of the parents is most of the time a reason why the graduates dissent to study further. At times the disparity between growing cost of education and financial conditions of the parents is also equally responsible for intimidating the possibility of further study. The vast majority of talented graduates fall prey to this and subsequently they are deprived of higher education and research opportunities. Global threats like Covid-19 intensify this too badly to worsen the things!
An interesting study conducted propounds that 72% graduate students do not share the financial burden of higher study.
